Brief visit to Sweden
My first time in Scandinavia, but I honestly don't know how much I can say about it. I visited a friend's family in Västerås, a primarily industrial city 100km west of Stockholm.
We went skiing in perfect weather, practised saying hello and thank you (the complete extent of my Swedish vocabulary), visited IKEA (of course!), went shopping (bargains everywhere once you're out of London), read the celebrations page of the newspaper (tried to), browsed the supermarket (bought a green cake), recovered from a cold and ate amazing homemade Vietnamese food.
As well as being wonderful chefs, my friend's family were lovely (although I couldn't speak to most of them) and they had a huge house (one of their three bathrooms is bigger than our living room in London).
So when I'm healthy and have more time, I think I will definitely have to visit Sweden again.
